I usually take things that go together and a few gorgeous outfits for evening. Some sarongs are great as you can use them as a skirt for the evening. Always still end up taking too much as you never know what the weather is going to be like - hot place sometimes doesn't always stay hot. However, with a few 'rules' in place to help make decisions about what to take you don't have to go through the pack/unpack process at all - a little planning and a few 'rules' saves time and a lighter suitcase :-) Totally agree Zena – folk take far too much away with them.
